The T&C’s within this document together with the booking form comprise the agreement between Chalet Amuse Bouche (Chalet AB SAS) and all those listed on the booking form. The lead guest, who has completed the form on the group’s behalf, is responsible for all matters relating to the booking and will be personally liable for all monies outstanding from the remainder of the guests. ‘The group’ refers to all persons booked to stay in the accommodation listed on the booking form, including any subsequent changes to the original booking.
Once we have confirmed room availability, the provisional booking will be held for a maximum of 7 days to allow the booking form and deposit (25% of the holiday cost) to be received. We reserve the right to re-book the week without notification if the deposit is not received in this time frame.
The total amount outstanding on your holiday must be paid 8 weeks before your stay commences. For last minute bookings the full cost of the holiday is payable at the time of booking. If the final balance is not received 8 weeks prior to the Arrival date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and any deposits paid will be forfeited (however, we will make every effort to contact the lead guest/group leader to remind them of payment dates). We reserve the right to re-book the chalet without further notice.
The prices quoted for Catered Winter Accommodation include, 7 nights accommodation (Sunday changeover), evening meals with wine and beer on 6 nights, fresh daily cakes in the afternoon and breakfast on 7 mornings. Prices do not include flights or travel costs; holiday and medical insurance; lift passes; equipment etc. It is compulsory that all guests have relevant travel insurance.
For self-catered bookings, a £500 security deposit will be taken on arrival and refunded based on the chalet being left in the same condition as per arrival and any breakages are taken into consideration.
All holiday prices include TVA and Taxe de Sejour. Payment can be made by; Bank Transfer, Euro Cheque, Bankers Draft, and Credit Card.
We guarantee the price of the holiday as quoted at the time of booking but reserve the right to increase or decrease the price of unsold rooms at any time.
Due to circumstances beyond our control it may be necessary to make alterations to a confirmed booking or to cancel the booking completely. Whilst we will make every effort to ensure this does not happen, if it is unavoidable, we will contact the lead guest soon as possible. In this instance we will endeavour to make alternative arrangements for accommodation (of the same value) if available or offer a full refund of any monies paid. No other compensation will be offered.
This compensation does not include events amounting to Force Majeure (Force Majeure meaning war, political unrest, weather, strikes, acts of God, epidemics, riots, civil strife, industrial disputes, terrorist activity, natural or technical disasters, nuclear war) or if the client defaults in the payment of the final balance.
You, or any member of your party, may cancel your holiday at any time providing that the lead guest makes the cancellation in writing/email and will be considered cancelled when we have acknowledged receipt. Where the lead guest has cancelled the booking the deposit will be retained and cancellation charges will be levied as follows:
- 4 – 8 weeks before commencement of holiday: 50% of total holiday cost
- 2 – 4 weeks before commencement of holiday: 75% of total holiday cost
- Less than 2 weeks before commencement of holiday: 100% of total holiday cost
- Should a change of dates be involved an administration charge may be levied.
Normal weekly changeover day is Sunday, although this may change during peak periods e.g. depending on when Christmas Day falls. Chalet Amuse Bouche is available for access after 4 pm on the day of your arrival. If, however, you arrive earlier you are welcome to leave your luggage with us earlier to this time. Where bedrooms are ready in advance of this time, they will be made available, but this cannot be guaranteed.
For departure, bedrooms must be vacated by 11 am. If you flight is later in the day, we are happy to store your luggage for you. However, we cannot guarantee a room being available to shower or change and the facilities are only available until 3 pm.
Transfers can be arranged by us at preferential rates and if incorrect details have been provided affecting your transfer, any additional short notice charges from our transfer partner will be added to your holiday balance. Upon arrival at Geneva you will be greeted by a Skiidy Gonzales representative. If you are travelling in a small party, you may also be required to wait at the airport for a maximum of one hour. Alternatively, a private transfer can be arranged for an additional charge. In the case of unforeseen circumstances, out of our or Skiidy Gonzales’ control, such as flight delays, cancellations, lost luggage, adverse weather and road conditions, you may be required to wait in the airport arrivals café area for a maximum of 1 hour. Any decisions regarding departure times from the Chalet will be made by a Skiidy Gonzales. We will notify you on the evening before your departure and Skiidy Gonzales will always allow adequate time to ensure you arrive safely, and on time for your flight home. Any costs incurred due to unforeseen circumstances resulting in you missing your flight should be claimed against your holiday insurance. We can provide you with any paperwork required to support such a claim.
During the ski season we provide a free transportation service to the Slopes for your convenience, the use of this vehicle is taken entirely at your own risk and Chalet AB SAS take no responsibility for death or personal injury caused through the use of this service. Please note that the use of the vehicle is provided free of charge and does not form part of the holiday cost.
Responsibilities & Behaviour:
All guests should act and behave in such a manner as to not affect or disrupt the enjoyment of other guests, the local residents or have a negative effect on the reputation of Chalet AB SAS. Any damage to the property or its contents by the guests, be it accidental or deliberate, must be paid for during their stay.
We would appreciate for the upkeep of the Chalet that ski footwear, wet or muddy outdoor shoes are not worn inside the Chalet beyond the ski boot room.
For health and safety reasons smoking is strictly prohibited within the chalet and minibus. If people wish to smoke they may do so outside.
No matter how much care is taken, our chalet is not childproof. Chalet Amuse Bouche will not be held responsible for any accidents occurring within the chalet, it is the parent’s responsibility to ensure their children are supervised at all times.
In the unlikely event of you having a complaint with any part of your holiday you should notify us immediately. Complaints cannot be accepted for snow conditions, childcare, weather, lessons and closures of ski – lifts.
Third Party Activities:
We can assist in sourcing and booking many of the extra services you may need when on holiday, these services are subject to the terms and conditions of the individual companies and we take no responsibility or liability for these services.
Lost or Stolen Properties:
Any guest not properly securing the exits after leaving the chalet will be liable for any property stolen as a result of that negligence.
Whilst we will endeavour to ensure the security of guests’ personal possessions, we cannot guarantee it and Chalet Amuse Bouche will not be held responsible or liable for any theft or loss of personal possessions from our premises / minibus.
